The purpose of pre work out supplement stacks (regimens) is to provide energy for prolonged muscle performance, combat fatigue and aid in recovery when possible. The most frequently used supplements as part of a prework out stack include: Citrulline malate (for the pump), BCAAs, Creatine HCL, Beta-alanine, Betaine, N-acetyl L-Crysteine, Caffeine Anhydrous and Taurine (also for energy) among others. The benefits of stacking your prework supplement can be to add an ingredient that may be missing from your commercial product, such as for example Huperzine A or if you feel like the dose of a certain mineral is lacking or not potent enough. DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine) has also been used in the past as a popular supplement, as it mimics ephinephrine, which can induce fat loss and endurance. Some nootropics can be taken for pre-workout's as well, for a sharp mental focus to improve the mind-muscle connection. Choline, Modafinil (prescription), Huperzine A, Alpha-GPC are the most common nootropics you will see in these stacks. more
