Basically, whey protein is a mixture of globular proteins and comes in four major forms. The most popular comes in the form of whey protien protein isolate or concentrate. Isolates are processed to remove fat, and lactose, but are usually lower in bioactivated compounds however, concentrates have a typically low level of fat and cholesterol but have higher levels of bioactive compounds. Also, grapefruit seed extracts are taken by mouth for bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. These seed extracts may also be applied to the skin as a facial cleanser, a remedy for mild skin irritations, and as a vaginal douche for candidiasis. Grapefruit contains high levels of Vitamin C, a mild acid, which helps fade spots by reducing excess production of skin pigment, as stated by Jessica Wu, M.D., a Los Angeles-based dermatologist. Aside from its health benefits, grapefruit may also be used as a household cleaner for fruits and vegetables, dishes, kitchen surfaces, and many more. This is due to the fact that grapefruit contains citric acid which dissolves dirt and grime. Also, grapefruit has been added to food and beverages as a flavoring component.
