Pomegranate ReviewPomegranate is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub that originated in the region of the modern day Iran. At the present, it is now widely cultivated throughout the Middle East and Caucasus region, tropical and northern Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, and the drier parts of southeast Asia. It is believed that Pomegranate has various chemicals that have antioxidant effects. Some researches also suggest that Pomegranate juice may slow the progression of atherosclerosis and may possibly fight cancer cells. Moreover, Pomegranate has been used to treat flu, stomatitis, erectile dysfunction, diarrhea, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, dysentery, and tapeworm and other intestinal parasites. When applied to the skin, it used to treat hemorrhoids and when used as a gargle, it may treat sore throats. It is also known as Pomegranates.
