Cyanidin Alternatives

Cyanidin Review

Cyanidin ReviewCyanidin is one of the 6 Anthocyanins subsets which refers to the blue-black fruits and berries as well as some purple vegetables. It has been prescribed as an anti-diabetic drug owing to its ability to decrease blood glucose levels. Also, it might benefit other parameters associated with metabolic syndrome as well as not hindering muscle protein synthesis. However, it has been found that Cyanidin may have problems with absorption and its bioavailability has been a concern. Other dietary sources of Cyanidin include chokeberries, boysenberries, elderberries, purple vegetables such as carrots and yams, black raspberries, and Hibiscus sabdariffa extract. It is also known as Cyanidin-3-Glucoside, C3G, Cyanidin-3-Rutinoside.
